Who is Hillside Animal Sanctuary?

We are a not-for-profit animal sanctuary with over 2000 horses, ponies and donkeys, 450 cows, 500 sheep and goats, 350 pigs and lots of smaller animals in our care. We also campaign against, and expose, cruelty and neglect in the farming industry.

How will Hillside use my information?

Bank details...

Any bank details you provide us with in order to make a donation or order gifts or adoptions will only be used in order to process the payment. Your bank details will never be kept or stored on our database.

Postal address...

If you have given us your postal address, we would like to send you fundraising appeals in the post, and also our newsletter once a year. If you would prefer not to receive any postal mail from us you can let us know by telephoning the Sanctuary office on 01603 736200 or emailing contact@hillside.org.uk.

Funds raised through postal appeals are vital for allowing us to continue looking after the thousands of animals in our care and also campaigning for animals in need. We rely entirely on the kindness of our supporters to continue our work.

If you have ordered gifts, adoptions or other items we will use your address to send the items you have requested. We may also write to you to respond to any queries you have raised with us, or to thank you for a donation.

Email address...

If you have signed up to our email supporter list (which you can do here), we will send you online newsletters with news from the Sanctuary and also about our campaigns and how to support them. We may also use your email address to respond to any queries you have raised with us.

Telephone number...

If you have given us your telephone number, we may use this to answer any queries you might have raised with us. We may also use it to ask you if you have a new address, if a mailing is returned to us saying that you have moved.

We may also telephone you if we have a query about your order, for example if vital information is missing (colour/size etc), to inform you of an unavailable item or if the payment details provided are incomplete (e.g. card expiry date).

We will NEVER telephone you to request a donation.

Details of past donations...

We can use this information to make sure that the correspondence you receive from us is appropriate for you. For example, if you have previously made donations to help the rescued dogs at Hillside, we may send you information on any dog rescues we are undertaking.

Will Hillside pass my information on to anyone else?

WE NEVER EXCHANGE OR SELL YOUR INFORMATION WITH ANYONE.

All online donations and orders are processed by secure third party payment processors (Stripe and Paypal).

How do I stop or change how Hillside contacts me?

If you would like to correct any information we hold for you, or would prefer us to stop posting, or stop sending emails, or would prefer to receive just our yearly newsletter, you may contact us in the following ways...
